i yam a shopsaholicsie, yes i yam.. apart from being a member of Handphones Anonymous, i yam also a member of the Shopaholics Anonymous hihi

today marks the first day of the IKEA sale (free advertising: Ikea is holding its awesome sale until 25th March if i'm not mistaken) and being the first day of its sale, Ikea opens its doors to its members for a preview and further markdown (konon) this morning only from 7-10 am.

being a true shopsaholicsie (who's not recovering from her "disease" one bit even after being a member of the said remedial association for some time now), hubs and i woke up at 6 am, left the house at 6.30 am and reached Ikea at 7 am on the dot - woohooo!!

got la a few kiasus like us who queued up at the front door even earlier (we not so kiasu la means ;)

the loudspeaker announced:
*tingtong* Dear shoppers, our doors are now open *tingtong*

*grinning from ear to ear*

the sleepy-looking staff gave us a complimentary breakfast coupon worth RM10 and we skipped inside with glee. one staff even took some event pictures of us arriving at the top of the escalators so i smiled broadly but jim said "alamak nampaklah muka kiasu kita nanti" hehe.

well it's a sale, who doesn't go nuts? (hey it was his idea to come in the first place u know, even more gilos than me)

so anyhoo, we bought:

2 chest drawers for our 2 spare bedrooms @ RM199 each (from RM299 *kot*)
1 chest drawer to replace the horrible CD cum book cabinet at the hall upstairs @ RM399 (from RM699 - very cantik this one, looks like teak wood)
1 book case to replace the pathetic shoe cabinet that serves as a place to put our keys and mail at the front entrance @ RM169 (this one no discount item but still very cantik :)
1 clothes cabinet from the AS-IS corner @ RM160 (from RM229)
1 mattress from the AS-IS corner @ RM268 (from.... ready???................ RM895!! is this a bargain or is this a bargain?)
1 shelf thingy for the kitchen @ RM75
1 set of hooks for the shelf @ RM15
1 3-pc basket thingy for me @ RM9.90
1 wok for me @ RM..... aiyak lupalah
1 shield for me to cover my face from oil when i fry @ RM12
1 clock for the kitchen @ RM5

total: RM1500++
experience: best gilerrsss, will do it again!

oh and 1 daim cake from the specialty store @ RM24 - to celebrate all the goodies we got :)

*yawn* feel so sleepy now... jadi tuan-tuan dan puan-puan, sekarang ini sila izinkan saya pulang ke rumah untuk menangkap beberapa zzzz buat seketika.
